I’m getting a covid test today. Not because I think I have it, but because I’m having an endoscopy next week. Should be fun.

Man, that sounds like a tough procedure to swallow. Thankfully you don’t have to pay out the nose for COVID tests in most cases.

No charge. Insurance should cover it, or whatever. Still, not looking forward to having a q tip shoved into my brain.

I talked to someone who got tested recently and said it felt like they were trying to skull fuck your brain with a giant q-tip

just kidding. They said i t s really not as bad as all the facebook / youtube wimps make it out to be.

Having had digital rectal exams and other sort of things in the past, I am fairly tolerant of most medical exams.

I had it done on Saturday and it was not pleasant, but also far from the worst thing I've ever had done.  Best of luck to you, I hope it comes back negative so you can get that endoscopy and get yourself sorted out.

I already know what the endoscopy will mostly show. I’ve had a hiatal hernia for a long time, and we’re just getting a better idea of what’s going on with the reflux that goes along with it.

They can, but it often doesn’t stay fixed. Best to treat the reflux with medication. At least for now. I’ll know more after next week.

I’ve been doing some drive throughs for lunch. But we won’t go sit down as a family for a long while still. If the wait staff has masks, so should I, and I can’t eat with a mask on.
